We mailed our wedding invitations on Friday, May 7th. Dixie did a great job with the design, and a special thanks to Tommy and Marsha for helping us put on stamps and stuffing envelopes. We’re sure your refrigerator will be looking forward to it’s new addition for the next couple of months. ;)

Now that you have received our nifty save the date for our wedding, you may be visiting our site for the first time. Welcome! Feel free to explore our blog. You can click on the sliding window panes above to navigate around the site and to get to different sections of the blog. Right now most of the entries are centered towards out wedding, but we will begin blogging our adventures down the road. We hope you visit often to see what we have to share with everyone.
As we noted on the save the dates, Granbury has become somewhat of a vacation destination for North Texans. Their hotels in the summer book up really early, so we HIGHLY recommend reserving your hotel room as soon as you can.

After a bit of work, we have finished up our Save the Dates. They should be in the mail starting today. There were a couple that we had typos on, or needed to reprint the address label, so you may be getting your card a few days later. This was a big milestone for us…. Getting the 200+ list of addresses was a lot more work than I thought. With Marsha’s help, Dixie and I printed, labeled, and stuffed over 200 of them. I guess it was good practice for the invitation that we’ll be sending out in May.

Last weekend we picked out tuxedos for the men in the wedding party. Men’s Wearhouse helped make the process fairly painless. This was a major check off of my list. Now I just need to complete my address lists so we can send save the dates.
Our wedding will be at 6pm on Saturday, July 10, 2010, in Granbury, TX. The wedding will commence at the Acton United Methodist Church, with the reception at the Granbury Resort Conference Center. We can’t wait!
